Domayne Alexandria has now ventured into residential and commercial interior design, and we are looking for a Full Time Interior Stylist to join our team!

 

The position entails assisting in all project phases from concept through to installation, including vendor and trade communication. The candidate should be a creative person and have an eye for detail, highly organised, have well-rounded knowledge of the interior design and specification process as well as the more technical side of design.

 

This position would suit a qualified interior designer who is passionate about their work and expertise, who is hands on, and can work under pressure both autonomously and as part of a team on a diverse project portfolio.

 

Key responsibilities and job requirements

 

  • Tertiary qualification in interior design from an accredited institution
  • Skilled in Indesign and CAD
  • Exceptional in Adobe Photoshop ,familiar with sketch up or similar Applications to create Mood boards
  • A valid drivers licence
  • Has great communication skills and the ability to sell!
  • Enthusiastic, detail-oriented and entrepreneurial-spirited
  • Experience in wide range of projects
  • Ability to multi-task and manage various projects simultaneously
  • Talented in preparation of presentation material and sourcing of finishes and specifications
  • Strong conceptual & spatial design ability
  • Strong design, communication, organizational and collaborative skills
  • Excellent problem solver with good listening skills and strong follow-through
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast and demanding environment
  • Conduct regular site visits, surveys and meetings
  • Measure up properties, including roughing up a basic floor plan and allocating furniture appropriately to suit
  • Liaise with clients in a positive and professional way
  • Manage and track orders, ensuring timely delivery for installations
  • Organize and coordinate tradespeople for installation days.
  • Assist in packing, organizing, and preparing decor and furniture for the install.
  • Follow up with suppliers and vendors to ensure smooth communication and timely execution of all project components.
